• The issue I am having is that SeaTools is a FreeDOS iso and most websites I have seen that offer iso to bootable flash drive software are sketchy. I looked into trying to use Linux but I was not able to find a route that way either. The main priority is just getting Seatools to be bootable on a flash drive.
• So my harddrive seems to be giving me issues and its failed the short drive self test on the seagate tools for windows program and i would like to know how to use the seagate tools DOS program, specifically it says i ened to burn the iso image to a CD but i dont have a cd drive installed in my computer. Would it be possible to install it on a usb?

Hello All;

Jun 22, 2014  For anyone having problems with Seatools for DOS recognizing drives.I believe this is a chipset issue. There are a couple of us on here with newer platforms (Sandy Bridge and up) that absolutely cannot use Seatools for DOS. Seatools for Windows.

OK, I have a drive that is potentially bad. I ran the Seatools for Windows, and it told me to run the Seatools for Dos.
I downloaded the tool, and create the USB bootable

When I boot, I choose to boot from the USB drive.
Then it just shows [FreeDos] and does nothing else.
I hit [Enter] and nothing happens.
Any help on this would be great.
If the drive can be saved, that would be great, if not, then eBay has them pretty darn cheap.
